No Bake Puffed Rice and Millet Bars

Quick and easy no bake puffed rice and millet bars are a great healthy snack on the go. Made with delicious almond butter, flax seeds and dried currants.

Yield: About 8 large bars


Step by Step method

  • Step 1

    Line an 8 x 8-inch square dish with parchment paper and set aside.

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl add puffed rice, puffed millet, flax seeds and dried currants. Mix well.

  • Step 3

    Add in almond butter and brown rice syrup. With clean hands, mix all ingredients together until coated well.

  • Step 4

    Transfer the mixture to a prepared dish and cover with a sheet of parchment paper. Press down the mixture into the dish until well packed and even.

  • Step 5

    Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer, cut into pieces and enjoy cold.

Tips & variations

  • Feel free to mix with other seeds, nuts, and fruits.

  • They must be eaten cold, otherwise, they will fall apart at room temperature.
